The Live Music Revival Fund is a non-profit organization created for the purpose of supporting live music in local venues to revive the joy and fellowship that live performance brings to the community.
“Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent.”
- Victor Hugo
Resulting from economic shifts and exacerbated by the pandemic, live music venues have been disappearing in the Bay Area and around the U.S. Musicians who often live hand-to-mouth are especially struggling to be able to continue performing and stay in the Bay Area.
The Live Music Revival Fund is a direct payment program to local artists. 100% of donated funds go to support musicians and live music productions. This relief program is an economic life-raft for local musicians and directly benefits the communities in which they perform. The U.S. is in a mental health crisis and will be for the next few years. The joy and fellowship that music provides is in desperate need to revive not only our musicians but our communities.
Operationally, the program selects an array of local musicians through a peer review process. Musicians are provided monthly financial support, to give them the economic foundation to continue to focus on their art and promote live performances.
How can you help? Please consider hosting a venue for these upcoming performances or donate directly to the fund.
This is a grassroots support system to revitalize live music in the Bay Area community and beyond!
